By all means - foul! If he doesn't want his players fouled, he can *stand them up!* Or even better, *dodge away!* Or even more so, try and *stop you from scoring!*
That is definitely a situation where fouling gives you a greater chance to ensure the win - it's fruitless to grind your way to a 2-1 bash win, only to see the poor guys you took pity on get a OTTD or a Riot result or something, and turn it around to tie it up 2-2.

Foul in T16.

Is it a meaningless R or B game? Then who cares what you do or what happens to the teams. Personally I don't foul in those situations in those games because, meh, why bother being a dickhead online when you already are one in real life?
Was it in L? Or a tournament?
Then do absolutely whatever it takes to ensure the win (might depend on the league, some do house rule certain things).
So basically, fouling when the game is won is a total douchebag maneuver and you should do it if you are a douchebag.
The rules of BB don't apply here. The site code of conduct might (but it doesn't for these cases), your TT leaguemates might have something to say, there's any number of ramifications which could happen depending on the type of game/league/opponent.
It's similar with timing people out. Do whatever you are comfortable with and embrace the fact that you are a douchebag or a dickhead or a nice guy or whatever matters to you personally. It really doesn't matter what anyone else here says.

Ah, Kenthis......I miss him as much as I miss having crabs :)

Thanks for your words licker though I admit they sting :)
It was in a BB game - no tourn implications just winning vs chance of drawing if he had enough men for a 1 turner or clock goes back as my lead would only be of 1 after i scored....
Anyway - with timing people out - i occasionally do it if they have been doing it to me turn on turn but give people the benefit of the doubt...
with regards to enjoying fouling - i think maybe im just a doushe but i guess i;ll just have to embrace it :)

Well as I said, there's nothing 'wrong' with doing whatever it is that you want to do. Some people play R and B all out as though it's a matter of life and death if they win or lose.
Some people just play for fun and don't care so much about the outcome. Some people enjoy the team building aspect and become merciless pixel huggers.
When these different worlds collide feelings get rubbed the wrong way. But so what?
Posted by ImpactedAnimal on 2015-01-18 19:30:19
Well i don't like to upset people so that is the argument against it but then it serves a purpose as well as being amusing - vs clawpomb particularly i feel no remorse and I tend tend to have many dps so i have done very little real damage with my fouls in reality...
But good to get a discussion going - for matches that are definitely won then I think I am swayed that fouling is pointless unless the squad you are facing are particularly mean and you want to reduce them for the following time you meet...
Ive been playing a lot with uw, flings and ogres recently and I think the game is for fun - for me part of that fun is fouls though mwahahahaha foul all mens!!1

Foul. Every now and then I get an opponent who moans about it, but as far as I'm concerned as long as an opposing player can threaten a TD it's a target.
Stalling is also almost certain to see me start gangfouling until you take the hint :D

Good old times ,so long no realy good fouling thread or blog...*sniff*

I foul quite a lot, but I'm even more likely to foul a player who stops standing his guys up, as "punishment" for being such a quitter. You did the right thing.

I hated fouling (giving and receiving) when I first came to FUMBBL, but the first environment I played in was Faction (in LRB4 ruleset)... I soon learnt that fouling was a vital part of the game and that I was a terrible coach. So to continue playing in such a harsh arena my teams focus turned to my Kroxi and his Journey to Legendary status. He was the only player I got upset about being fouled, kill the rest but leave me some reason to play was my thinking.
Now I am impartial to fouling, it still rankles me if it is a spiteful foul when the game is won (and quite often vs me it is easy to see it is won!) but a foul vs a rookie player can be quite funny (especially if that player is named after the coach I am playing or some such).
The only other time about Fouls that apply to their use is when the Top Fouler lists are concerned, personally I will put it in the bio if I intend to be extensively fouling with a given player.
I am also trying to accept that douchbag is a style that people are entitled to play... trying.

If he is not standing up players and he has a OTTD chance then feel free to lay that boot without remorse.

It is called blood bowl and blood needs to be spilled. Scoring casualties is just as important as scoring touchdowns!
