So after that spectacular season last year culminating in one of the most exciting playoffs and Superbowls ever I was spent. I didn't know if I would or even could muster excitement for the upcoming season.

Then some time last Tuesday I was back at mouth frothing excitement for the upcoming season, both for my Seahawks and the NFL in general.

Lots of transitions in coaching and rookies having huge responsibility put on their shoulders. In particular I am glued to how Rex Ryan pans out in Buffalo with a team that is peak Rex Ryan.

So tonight we start the season with two of the most insufferable franchises in the sport. The Patriots who are inarguably the best franchise since 2000 and the Steelers whose fans are a future glimpse into what a bunch of backwards-looking revisionist mouth breathers Patriots fans will become after Belichick and Brady retire.

Things I'm looking forward to with the Seahawks:

1. Russell Wilson with Jimmy Graham, a bona-fide receiver and something we've been lacking.

2.Tyler Lockett returning kickoffs and punts. This rookie is electric (woogie woogie woogie) at returning and given how awful Brian Walters was last year, this should be a huge improvement for us.

3. Dion Bailey playing strong safety during Kam Chancellor's holdout. 2nd year in the league and markedly different than the brutal physical playstyle of Kam. Hopefully he excels at the position.

4. Frank Clark and Michael Bennett being a 1-2 punch pass rush. It's possible that our D Line is going to be the standout position group on defense rather than our DBs.

5. Better play calling from Bevell. Cause it can't get any worse.

So fellow NFL fans, what are you looking forward to?

P.s. I won't spoiler or spam the blog section with NFL stuff unless there's a supreme nuffling and even then I'll wait till wednesday. So rest assured you haters of the game that is half the inspiration for the game you love, you will barely even notice a peep.
