WoC VI: Favoured Of Khorne Round 1:
As soon as the Masochistic Elves saw the WoC draw, they knew it would be a challenging match-up vs. Chaos Dwarves (
Strip club shorties) while also giving up 330k in inducements... Oh boy were they right... But despite the challenge ahead of them, they fought till the bitter end.
The elves received in the first half, hoping to add a quick score and get rid of Nobbla (chainsaw)... A Wizard's lightning strike KOed
Stun Me the 6ag witch elf after turn one deep in their own zone. The elves managed to recover nicely, and eventually got the ball... The weather was very sunny which led to some challenges passing the ball, causing the process of marching down the field to take longer than originally hoped for due to some fumbled passes. As a result, Nobbla and company got to work removing elves from the pitch.
By some miracle, the elves managed to snatch the ball and complete a pass into the endzone while heavily outnumbered on the pitch to go up 1-0.
The second half KO rolls were brutal for the Elves, putting them at a great disadvantage (11 on 6? or so). The Strip club shorties very slowly marched down the field allowing multiple 1 BD hits on the ball carrier that nearly all resulted in skulls or pushes. All the while, the shorties continued to mame and remove Elves from the pitch... Finally clearing the pitch with 2 turns to go.
With 2 turns to go and a cleared pitch, the shorties decide to score giving the Elves the ball and 2 turns to try and come up with a miracle 2-1 victory... A very strange tactical decision by Coach
luckyjim12.
But much like his name, luckyjim12, was quite lucky that the long bomb pass attempt by 6 ag Witch Elf Stun Me to the open Elf in the end zone did not succeed... That certainly would have made for a highly unlikely and thrilling end to the game.
Instead, overtime! The shorties were able to receive and with their substantial numbers advantage they were able to easily march down the pitch and get the game winning 2-1 score.
The Masochistic Elves took things to a whole other level in this game by RIPing themselves on missed dodges twice... Most notably,
Fire Me the 4str Block/dodge lineman apparently decided to commit suicide on a failed dodge attempt since the team refused to 'fire him'.
Despite the brutal MNG/RIPs, the fact that the Elves nearly won the game demonstrates their resilience and inspires confidence that they will be back fighting once again soon.
