Vampling's 100th TD
... And that was in a crazy game against... Vampires.
It may not sound that impressive, but when you know the guy's ST1 AV5 and that only 11 Flings before managed to do that, it makes a nice pretext to post some news about the team.
Tom Vampling is also about to play his 100th game, and he's on the verge of beating the Fling Passing record, which would rightfully bring the trophy back to where it belongs: the Sammiches' kitchen (the Sammiches have invented the concept of halfballing with Bob Ratling, totalling 128 completions in the sole top list (twice as much than any other Fling team).
Some nice players have also emerged, such as the psycho Vampire killer, Elf tormentor, Snot crusher Dan Burgerfling, and overall it for once is in an amazing shape. So let's make it official: the Sammiches will experiment their new frog legs recipes in Lustria and win the second major qualifier of their career. Nuffle has been smiling upon them as of late - they shall not waste his gifts.
EDIT - Oh and while we're at it, they also have a brand new yearbook.

Yeah, this guy always do crazy stuff against great teams and / or coaches. You've mentioned that game against the Cranberries, I could mention his second game versus Sleepers in Metropolis where he intercepted a pass to offer the victory to his team, or that epic game versus Grue's zons where he got -ST after an unbelievable turn of events, or that game versus the Sage's ogres where he survived countless blitzes and fouls to become a legend and roll another 10...
