Very very sad to lose someone so young. Heartfelt condolences.

Very sorry to hear about this mate.
Do a sky dive! I've done sixteen jumps as part of the RAPS course. On my thirteenth I may have smashed my wrist to pieces but it was only a MNG injury.
Seriously shitty news though. Cancer has absolutely decimated my extended family, young and old.

Things like this suck...
Maybe a good time to think about:
http://www.dkms.de/ (for Germans)
https://www.deletebloodcancer.org/ (for US)
The rest of you will have to figure it out by yourself, but give it a thought; finding the right one is all about statistics, but unfortunately the dices are more than 6 faced.
Cheers.

My condolences Stanley. Leukemia sucks anyway, but to hear of children or teenagers like Joel who suffer from this desease is even worse. It just feels wrong, leaves us speechless and helpless.
@ All: But actually we are not completely helpless in the fight against Leukemia. It's a question of finding the right bone marrow donator in time. Non-profit organisations like DKMS (in Germany) make the necessary analysis for thousands of volunteers on a regular basis at a lot of places. The analysis needs to be done only once in a lifetime (afaik), takes only a few minutes and is really no big deal for the potential donator - but can save a life.
Like Urrghs said: give it a thought.

he had just had a bone marrow transplant. his body was so battered they induced the coma.
seemed the bone marrow had been accepted and all stats etc were flying back up.
then out the blue something happened. was very quick
