Improbable is the word you're looking for. Not impossible.

Not enough sacrifices to Nuffle.
Posted by spelledaren on 2016-12-06 10:54:53
Heh. You really have rolled a lot of ones in your last four games. Harsh. Still, it's way less than half of your single D6's.
Things will not always be bad. Play more games, you'll be fine. :)

I'd retire that team, just for being the worst ever. :P

Single dice roll 1s:
Game 1: 27%
Game 2: 29%
Game 3: 29%
Game 4: 36%
That's some pretty special Nuffle love. Keep at it. See if you can break 50%

Some teams are just cursed, keep them around as a magnet for all your bad luck and enjoy dicing people with your other teams!

Most important thing to remember, is game numbers here are up near 4 million.
So something that happens once in a thousand games, has probably happened almost 4 thousand times here.
But also, fumbbl (and the famous board game it's similar to) throws more games with lots of 1s than you might expect, because those games are a bit shorter, with less player actions, and thus capture more of the normal variance that would be evened out a bit with a longer game, where you make more rolls because you didn't roll so many 1s.
Mind, 36% 1s on single dice is pretty high, that's up around my highest ever and in one your first few games. So, it really will get better. :D

Think how glorious it's going to be when your "luck" turns around. And it will. No doubt.
Then your elves will have this great back story of how bad they were to start with :)

If this happened for 10 years straight I would be amazed, for 4 games not so much

Hi Shydeon - glad to see you're trying out High Elves. They're my favourite race (and, of course, the best, but don't tell anyone that ..). Yeah, those dice stats are very bad - seems like you've just had a very unlucky streak of 4 games. High Elves can be a bit tough to get started, as they lack basic skills and 2 rerolls doesn't give you much margin for error. If you persevere with them though, your dice will surely improve and they are fun and rewarding to play (when you're not being Nuffled ...). High Elves, ftw! :)

keep playing and you'll turn the tables

Welcome to fumbbl BTW!

This where I bring my usual story, but it doesn't quite fit in. You have been very unlucky with those amounts of ones. Remember to check out the games where you will win too. :)
My story in short. I only won 1 game in 16. in the 16th game I whined about it, and lucky me. The opponent took his time to point out some errors I did during the game. I didn't loose the next 12 games, and my game has improved since. In that could also be a small truth. Search through you own games and try and find errors in you game. Rolling less dice, will in time improve your winning record.

Get the third reroll asap (either by buying it or by taking Leader on your Thrower) and buy at least 1 Catcher, you benefit a lot from MA 8.
Personally I start with 2 Blitzers, 1 Catcher, 8 Linemen and 3 rrs because High Elves lack core skills compared to other elven teams such as DE and WE.

Nuffle hates you and the RNG isn't random.
Christer has to roll dice individually. Sometimes he just gets lazy and skips rolling dice and hits '1' instead.

You need to make a journey to the Ukraine and find a bunker with Polish resistance fighters. Inside this bunker you will find a man named Spiro. He will enlighten you and open your mind to the ways of the RNG.
Of course this will be in between battles with the red army who are invading.

Bad luck. It happens. When it's streaky, then we think it's sort of a "curse" on us, and that it should be impossible for dice to be so bad, so consistently. That's where our perception fails us.
If something CAN happen, it WILL happen. Is it possible to roll 100% ones? Yes. Very unlikely, but still it's bound to happen to someone someday.
All we can do is look forward and hope we're not that "someone" :D

Also, don't mind those who don't understand. You're new to FUMBBL and have had some really tough dice. I've seen way more experienced coaches frown and get angry/sad/salty for less.
Also, being fairly new, you rightly have doubts about RNG's "fairness" or "Randomness". That's fair. There's some explaining to the maths behind it in the "HELP" section. I don't really dig that stuff.
All i can say, having played thousands of games here, is that it all evens out. In my experience the RNG is really Random. And being really random (and thus, unfair at times)it will make stupid things happen from time to time. That's what randomness does.

i feel you may be exaggerating a little
Posted by Shydeon on 2016-12-07 01:00:03
Antoris- I really do not know what to say except i want the receipt on this one.
Pythinm - I really am not exaggerating those four game where awful and the next 2 are not much better but workable compare to those four nightmarish level of nurgles enjoyment.

MattDakka here is the problem with what you say that would be nice if I could replace my missing linemen with other lineman never mind something more expensive.
