Fumbbl Chat reminds me of the moon.
When you're there you can't help to feel you're the only one. You might be wrong, but it's hard to tell what the few idling bodies are. Probably nothing relevant.
But then you realize the place is simply not really accessible to begin with.
And then you know you are the only one there...
...but are you sure you even are there?

i feel a live chat installed on the mainpage, like used on the bbtactics forum, would be used more..
but 8 in the morning might simply not be the best time for bb chats :)

it could be maybe too much with the blog activities on the mainpage aswell (which i enjoy) but much more visible and making spontaneous chatting more likely.
what really would change the chatsituation is cyanide closing internet support for bloodbowl 1 and bloodbowl 2 becoming a catastrophy that drives the masses to fumbbl.

For starters I think an implemented chat client would help. Saves the lean coach the necessity to search and install a working client.
It doenst need to be a fullchat on the frontpage like on bbtactis, a simple image like the actual Support button would be enough. Instead the Goblin show a Chatballon and text eg. 'CHAT ON FUMBBL'.

Chat was very active when it was used to find a match (before the new and practical gamefinder, before blackbox... and before Cyanide).
That makes a lot of things to decrease its use.
But some specific channels are still very active (french one, at least).

I'll have a look at implementing it on mainpage but for this I still have to master the other part of the settings menu Christer installed. I do not yet really understand how it works, but it will be the next thing I'm looking into and allowing a dynamically displayed chat on the main page.

Embedding yeah... the problem with the content of the main page is that it is all dynamically placed. That means I don't know what coach is displaying what piece of his page where.
The only information about this comes from the settings menu. I assume from there calls and requests are made to the server to handle the layout. For me the question arises whether I can add my own Elements in the middle of that without interfering with the server
