Flings should field 15-16 too, especially if you gonna foul a lot with them (which you should). I think first double is block to get a ball carrier and blitzer for defense. Next two doubles dirty player (one for each drive). You can stay at 14 for the first few games

I'd say 14-15 to leave room for Deeproot and Morg if possible.
Always take the chef!

@csassak: Thanks, it seems as though roster size (and fouling) is pretty similar to every stunty team :) regular insertion of boot
@Roland: Thanks for the link. There's so many lists and such on here that I hadn't plowed through them all yet. I was reading a bit about league teams starting at 600k so they can induce Deeproot and chef from start and I've had the chef work against me successfully so I know how awesome they can be.

I field 14 players. 13 sometimes hen my TV isn't too high and when I have some dudes MNG.
Indeed, you want to leave space for a star. Hiring 2 of them is REALLY uncommun (you want to take Deeproot or Morg first, and a Chef and a Wiz, and eventually bribes... That's already at the very least 550 TV).

Second game played and was the polar opposite due to challenging Mr Jarvis_pants's Norse. Block across the board led to 7 casualties for his boys and an important lesson learnt on mine. Block. Hurts. Flings. Who'd of guessed. Much fun was had and the only death was on his side so I live to fight another day.

I played Jarvis_Pants when I was starting out with flings. He told me I shouldn't have taken the game and to be more picky :)
But had tons of great advice so was worth it. Spec a couple of replays from the fling masters like him and Zed.

@PaddyMick: Yeah, pretty much exact same experience, lots of wise words. I've played Zed before and had my ogres taken apart by his flings but will make a point to spectate more. Thanks

Ah yes, my experience with flings is mainly Box where you dont have the luxury of taking convenient matchups and inducements. I guess in R you must leave room for a star player and aim for a chef (usually prefer a bribe instead)

Can't you minnax Flings in box to get massive ammounts of inducements?
I mean after 15 games you can face almost any opponent...

Kam was in the rignt, get 14 flings maybe 15 for security once you have 2 dps or more.
Keep maybe at the start a couple of simple skill, but as soon as you start developping some uber flings, fire those : mix of diving tackle and ss (dt will help for the agility team, ss can help for the bashy ones)
Ag 4 or 5 is gold and should be protected by any means by the rest of the canon fodder.
Keep two or three block fling (one wrestle) and see if they can keep rolling double and get yourself a fling blitzer.
Tree is where you want to have for your money, ma 3 is gold, double means block or jump up first, jump up is so great to avoid their "stand up roll" negatrait and is the real only way to go piling on stupid every turn with it, if you have the money (and you will at 30 k a player) in case your tree skilled only simple for the first 2 skills, just fire him and rebuild a new one, waste of time to skill one if the guy has no real potential.
