Lately I've been thinking a lot about wrestling. Scratch that, I spend 90% of my waking hours thinking about wrestling, but this thinking is about how wrestling can be incorporated into blood bowl.
There's a lot of wrestling fans and wrestling themed teams on the site so I'm hoping the breadth of knowledge can help me.
I've created a box team of goblins based around the
Goblin Championship Wrestling promotion and am thinking about fun ways to bring in the fluff and theme of wrestling into their team. This is where I need your help.
Current thoughts are to have titles for each of the various accomplishments players can do (scoring, cmp, fouls, rush etc) and have these change hands when the previous record is surpassed (using
Shraaaag's brilliant FUMBBL Scripts and recording totals in a spreadsheet this should be easy).
In addition, opposing teams would be "local jobbers" and cas for and against would be recorded as goblins beating or being beaten by the jobber (and noted in the match report).
Eg
Da Mountin pinned William Coldeagle
or
Edward Grottybrook tapped out
Da Ace of da Universe. Post match Da Ace had to be helped from the ring by medical staff who diagnosed a pinched nerve and say Da Ace will be out of action for a while.
Each match would be a week apart in this fictional universe and would be airing in a weekly hour slot on Cabalvision.
Particularily bloody or eventful matches could make up the larger PPV events and would receive a larger write up.
So, wrestling fans and clever people, is there anything obvious I've missed here that I could include?
Final titbit for those that have made it this far: WaaaghGames - two bloodbowl pitchs in a cross shaped formation with each team having two TD zones to defend and attack. Teams start as 5 a side but the remaining 12 players enter the pitch at regular intervals.
