Christer had posted on discord the other day to say he would need new drives for the database server and gave an estimated cost of €500. Luckily he appears to have optimised these somewhat and they are working more optimally than they were but it got me thinking.

The site costs on average $150-$200 a month to run. The very generous patrons on patreon donate about €300 per month so this covers the day to day spend but not any larger expenditure and certainly the amount of time that Christer puts into this site.

I've been playing here for nearly 10 years and would call people I've met here amongst my closest friends. FUMBBL is a great thing which is bringing us together in these difficult times and I'd like to give something back.

Lasgalen and I will be running separate all underworld goblin teams in the black box for the month of June. I am aiming for at least 50 games. The purpose of this is to be a fundraiser for the site.

I would like to offer you the opportunity to sponsor either my or Lasgalen's team.

You could:

1. sponsor a player for a flat cost of €5. This will allow you to name the player, choose a portrait and select a development path

2. pledge a certain amount per victor.y eg, every game I win, you will donate €1

3. for every opposing player I kill you will donate €1

4. for every dwarf/chaos dwarf team I face you will donate €3

5. if I finish the game with a better record than Lasgalen's team, you will donate €10.

These are only suggestions, you can realistically donate any amount of anything. If you fancy donating €0.69 for every time a player manages to surf an opponent or €4 every time we take pass block then have at it! Don't forget to include a cap on your pledge if you wish. Otherwise I will keep taking pass block.
