Grats to the 3 but I somehow think the tone would be different had a WIL member won through more TDs ;)

Go WILers!

Of course but then when has POV ever been truely omitted from any journalism.
/me thinks Ast is just jealous that he can't chat in WIL and fellow loud-mouth Russo can :D
/me kisses Ast and then uses disinfectant to wash his mouth (just in case)

1st was Nick Harding (MumboJumbo on the NAF site) if anyone knows him. He was using Skaven. Great weekend and really good to meet everyone!

PeteW got 5 wins and a draw.... damn, how did that happen? :P

Where did our other good friend end up?
You know that guy, what was his name again? Something like Brian or Bernard....
No it was Brad!
BRAD BRAAAAWWWWLL!!!!!!

I'm very impressed with the WIL'ers!
It takes a hell of lot to achieve so much in such an environment.
I personally find Russo hard to stomach over 20minutes in IRC never mind a full weekend in person!
They seem to play BB rather well too. :)
P.S. Russo captioned slide show is good too.

Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of final?
Posted by Cribbleobblepie on 2009-06-01 10:04:17
Yeah, the top two coaches at the end of round 5 played each other, Mumbojumbo won the game so won the tourney, but final places were done on your overall result, so the loosing finalist only finished 9th I think?
Posted by BooAhl on 2009-06-01 10:17:33
So nobody was 5-0-0 before the final round?
Posted by Cribbleobblepie on 2009-06-01 10:30:42
Nope, I believe six people were 4/1/0 on the fifth round. The deciding factor was TD's scored (Not TD difference, just the number you'd scored!), so unsurprisingly the final was Skaven vs Wood Elves...
(My Dorfs missed the cut by one TD, gutted!)
Posted by SillySod on 2009-06-01 11:28:00
I think the losing finalist is generally considered to have come second although I guess that that makes a little less sense when the finalists were seperated by TDs scored.

Grats WILers, good show :)
Posted by BooAhl on 2009-06-01 14:02:38
To SillySod: So WIL members came only 3rd?
What rosters were used for the top 4 teams? Any inducments?
Posted by Cribbleobblepie on 2009-06-01 14:16:40
MumboJumbo - Skaven
Me - Dorfs (2 Blitzers, 2 Runners, 1 Slayer, 6 Longbeards, 3 Rerolls, 1 Apo)
Borgen - Undead
PeteW - Dark Elves
One million ressurection tourney. Skillset was a single skill on a player of your choice after games 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. (I took Guard every time.)
The BloodBowl itself was contested as a final game between the two top coaches. The GT League was awarded by final position including all six games. Which is why the losing finalist finished in 9th position as his final record was 4/1/1. Hope that makes some sense?

I finished like 95th, poor roster choice, poor race choice, and played rubbish too. Although it didnt help getting Stick and Purplegoo. :(
Note to all, golems in lrb5 are rubbish
Posted by Purplegoo on 2009-06-01 17:58:56
Only 14th pour moi (although what was it out of, 172?). I lost to the losing finalist, who had red-hot Woodies of POWness and only drew with Cribble (*shakes fist*).
I did however get to own McRowdy, so not all bad. ;)
Good times, great fun. Cheers all!

I drew with SillySod, which isn't a bad thing, but when you know he had 14 hobgoblins and a minotaur makes me look pretty noobish. >.<
Posted by Wilf on 2009-06-01 20:09:58
I finished 10th, like Crib I missed out on the final by 1 TD. Then he beat me in game 6 so he won best of the rest. Grrrr. Still haunted by my poxy wight rolling skull, reroll skull to score against the kick. Bah.
Posted by PeteW on 2009-06-01 22:01:12
Whooops!
Stupid PC. The post below by KFoged, was actually by me. I thus prove my noobery twicefold. Huzzah.
