I owe several people a very large apology for being a weak and moany opponant over the past three months or so. Generally I have been winding down and cutting from my record high of twenty groups/leagues to zero after next week. I have really come to feel playing games as a chore. I am sorry guys!

I am taking a break from FUMBBL after this game with an inention to just break this psycological habit that comes over me when I play games. I seem to have fallen into a characateur when I play games, and I do not like who I am when I play up to that expectation. It may do with my reputation as an on-line clown, but its more than that.

Playing table top games I never get this irate, in fact it makes me laugh after the odd "Damn" or "B*ugger", but being on line I feel that I am not true to myself. There are some of you who have been fortunate....or unfortunate to have met me in RL (depending on your POV) and I am sure you will agree that I am probably not what you expected.

Finally this schizophrenic dicotomy has caught up and overtaken my genial nature and seen me crack..
.... I have had enough and need to realign myself.

FUMBBL is a wonderful place. The site is fabulous, and I have never even been tempted to play Bloodbowl anywhere else (bar the social aspect of tabletop with a drink in my hand and good company). What FUMBBL has that corporate games can't deliver is heart and soul. It has a living community of coaches that love the game and not the superficial glamour or suger-rush-high of mass-produced-by-the-numbers modern games. FUMBBL still has the board game at heart and thats what we love about it.

You will be glad to know that I am not conspiritorially going to attribute my decision to leave FUMBBL to my poor run of games; yes I have had some real stinkers recently where I felt like I was banging my head on a brick wall, but hell...we have all had them havent we?

What I can say is that normal behaviour should allow you to be competative but to remain able to let the bad stuff go. Instead I have let that bad stuff stay with me and because of the aggravated stress I have made stupid moves and just added to my predicament. I say this because I dislike it when coaches don't recognise that at least 50% of all problems are of your own making. People act badly and instead of realising thats just events and their weknesses we take it on board and then react even worse, blaming other coaches and the site for their own shortcomings.

I have met loads of great coaches on here, so many that I cant even remember those ones who were unpleasent. Some of you I have been fortunate to meet in real life too. Thank you to all of you for being such a great and helpful bunch of people.

Thank you Christer, you should be rightfully proud of the site and a big thank you to all the other admins too.

I doubt I will be gone too long, but I have deleted all my precious teams that I loved so much (bar one) to assist me in the reintegration period when I return. Playing games with teams I have no attachment to may assist me in tempering myself and build a better culture of online gaming in my weird and wonderful head :-)

My final words or wisdom to you are......Baaaa.Baa Baaaaaa!
