Nearly One Year Fumbblin'
Nearly One Year!! and 671 matches. I think this site is great. Many thanks to Christer and admins for reigniting my passion for bloodbowl after 10+ years of not touching it.
I have improved so much over the year thanks to help from other coaches on the site and speccing, etc. Still lots of room for improvement. I have also learned so much about creating fluff, bbcode, team builds, etc.
Some observations of my own play history. A retrospective if you will:
I started playing ranked mostly. It was a lot of fun and most of the coaches were willing to support a new fumbler. Then I found 145 club. Koadah does an amazing job there. Played a lot of league then mixed with ranked. Met a few coaches on here who I really enjoyed playing against and they formed 'The Gentleman's Club'. That's my 'home' on fumbbl if that makes sense?! The coaches in there are great. Other leagues I love to play in are 'Obba','WIBBL' + any others I have on my page.
I steered clear of the box for ages. Too much hype in the forums and blogs about cpomb put me off. Long story short, I much prefer playing box now to ranked. It really wasn't that bad, but it is no place for a beginner! I don't think either one is wrong like there is nothing wrong with strawberry or vanilla ice cream, I just prefer the strawberry. Also preferences can change. I play box now specifically for HLP and ARR!
Played in some majors, got banned from tourneys for missing a deadline. Majors are great.
I have played a lot on here. I need to give a shout out to my good lady (I know she will never read this) as she puts up with my 'obsession'.
Anyways, just wanted to record some thoughts. If I played you, thank you. If I haven't played you (yet) I hope to see you on the field!

Explore stunty more
Have fun
Meet up with fellow fumblers for some TT action!

Nice blog entry, will be good to look back on in another 12 months for you :)
Also... I bet you will not miss another Tournament game/deadline without informing the Admins!! You are not the first and certainly will not be the last! and a lesson learnt the hard way is mostly likely to be avoided again.
