Is it really possible since the changes?

Sure. I think more 'sweet spotting' is what the better coaches do. Find a TV area that's particularly good for a team fairly low on TV and camp there.

Which tactic? 1000-1100 zons & pact?
Posted by mdd31 on 2015-10-14 20:06:25
I do not understand. I create teams and battle in the box. I only know victory and glory. I do not know of what you speak.

No Re-Rolls for example. OK so not minmaxing to the extreme but enough to be fleecing the system.
@mdd31 - You Sir, have got it!

Not seen it.
Any examples? ;)

1100 pact are the worst, as are CDs with 6 blockers and 5 hobos

Send us a PM Throweck. Otherwise it didn't happen. ;)
New coaches are likely to be eaten for breakfast whatever team the experienced coach puts out. I thought we were telling them to start in Ranked.
@mdd31: Once you are properly CPOMbed up you'll be fine. ;)

Just a little bit of name and shame never hurt anyone! :D
Posted by koadah on 2015-10-14 20:36:38
Surely it's not naming & shaming unless you name a name.
If you meant all linewomen + 1 POMB blitzer you should have said so.

I name & shame myself!
Fear my Wood!

Bill, this is a min/max heads-up-little-bit-of-whine blog. :D
It's not a max/max shirtcopter blog. :(

Why "min/max"? It does not seem to be related to the min-max theorem. A minimax algorithm finds the move that gives the most out of the minimum your opponent can give you. This means you are the one who maxes, while your opponent minz.
Perhaps "max/min" would be more accurate, since it may allude to a maximin search, i.e. finding a path where you find the minimal TV that will maximize payoff. Interestingly, the Wiki page says that John Rawls' theory of justice rests on the idea to maximin all the small menz.

Everyone should cut some RRs. Running on Leader and skills only is pretty extreme, but most teams can probably get by on 2, if not 1 after you've got enough block and an AG 4 Sure Hands player for the ball.
Just recently cut my Box Flings from 6 to 5, now there's some minmax. Considering running on 4!
