New Heavyweight Champions!
Aaaaand NEW Heavyweight Champions of the world!!!!

They took the O[L]C heavyweight title in a hard fought, bruising encounter with the reigning champs, my own Too Drunk To Block.
Their first title defence will be against BillBrasky's WMD's in OLC at OLC XXIX.
The Open [L]eague Cup winner gets an automatic shot. Other routes to the Championship kick off on Thursday night. We still need a few teams for the OLC XXIX Heavyweight Challenge and also the Light Welterweight (1300 TV/TW) Free For All.
O[L]C XXVIII- Heavyweight Challenge - Thursday 9th April
This is an 8 team KO tournament allocated by highest TV/TW. The winner earns a crack at the heavyweight title!
If 16 or more teams apply a second tournament will run with the next 8 biggest teams.

O[L]C Free For All - Light Heavyweight (1750 TV/TW) -Thursday 16th April
Open Round Robin. Just over three weeks. Play any opponent (once) in any order at any time before the deadline. Play as often as you can.

House Rules.
1. Fouling +1 to armour roll.
2. Claw does not stack with other skills that modify armour rolls.
3. Piling On allows coach to reroll injury only.
4. Right Stuff prevents the Tackle skill when blocked.
5. Sneaky Git functions like Guard on foul assists.
6. Banned sneaky git players are sent to the KO box instead.

It is not really that organised. So, I guess that does not help. ;)
Stuff kind of happens when it happens. You normally get around 7-14 days notice of an event.
The two big things are to either win the Open [L]eague Cup or become Heavyweight Champion.
You can use any league division teams that you have. (Unless I don't like them for some reason. That is rare.) You can use different teams in different events. But it is the team that becomes Champion not the coach.
If you win almost any O[L]C event you can demand a shot at the Heavyweight title.
In fact you can demand a title shot whenever you like. I'll just probably say no unless you can show why you deserve it. Winning an O[L]C event is just the easiest way.
The Championship title fight is a straight head to head between the reigning champion and the challenger.
The Free For Alls are open round robin. They last around 3.5 weeks. The top 4 teams go to a 4 team KO playoff.
Challenges & Grands Prix are both KOs. From now on Challenges will be mainly Heavyweight (no TV/TW limit), four to eight team events. Grands Prix will be limited TV/TW KOs.
It is all subject to change. We do what works. If something does not seem to be working then we do something else.
