Jingle trolls, jingle trolls, jingle all the way...

I hear ya, Pyth.

I'm not trolling; I'm genuinely concerned at the breakdown of civil behaviour and social norms in this Xmas period...
Posted by DonTomaso on 2011-12-23 22:40:31
It's been going on for a while, perhaps you've been too busy trolling the blogs to notice. ;)
The CS generation has found it's way here, and BlackBox makes all conversation unnecessary.
I've found that games is BB is much nastier (social wise) than games in R. Sad, really.

Maybe they just don't like chatting with you... ever think of that?
;)
Posted by pythrr on 2011-12-24 00:17:58
Nope, never crossed my mind. I'm entertaining and a complete gent, me.
Posted by koadah on 2011-12-24 00:33:04
Maybe you p*ssed em off in the forum/chat somehow. ;)
Posted by liquidorange on 2011-12-24 01:36:06
Yeah - I'm a pretty big fan of chat. Even if it's just the odd 'goddamnit!' here and there on my end.
Posted by spiro on 2011-12-24 01:38:38
people knows you and your twisted character so, do not be surprised.
Posted by RandomOracle on 2011-12-24 01:57:00
That is very true, spiro. Some people do have a reputation as having a twisted character.
Posted by awambawamb on 2011-12-24 02:11:44
...and when they talk, they boast about randomness of the dices. crazy.
Seriously, the last match I played I felt guilty. What I could say if not "sorry"?
Posted by Voldemorte on 2011-12-24 06:27:17
I am fine either way, sometimes one just doesn't feel like chatting. Did you come to play or talk?
Posted by Beerox on 2011-12-24 07:32:30
No comment.
Posted by Daudy on 2011-12-24 08:11:52
I love Counterstrike, but I talk far too much...
Probably not really a great thing either in the end ;)
Posted by BillBrasky on 2011-12-24 08:26:22
Me no talk.
Must KILL ALL MENZ!!!!!
Posted by Russo on 2011-12-24 08:27:29
I heare you pyth and I hate it when people dont even do a hi or a smiley just to show they are acknowledging that they are playing a real person and not a set of micro-chips.
95% of the time I seem to at least get a few words out of people at the least, but there are about 5% of coaches who are just letting things down.
Though in your case pyth I think its because coaches do not know how to respond when your opening gambit is:
"Hi. Me is win!"
Posted by Shandrahel on 2011-12-24 08:59:10
I get the feeling people talk less to me the more cpomb and dp i got on my team. oh, and it seems also to depend on their injury rolls :).
Oh, and: emo

Did you play your buddy lizvis 5 games in a row? I hope this was in L...
Posted by Calcium on 2011-12-24 10:17:50
You talk enough for 2 coaches Pyth, so don't sweat it :)
Posted by Royston on 2011-12-24 10:37:25
Wait... we have a choice if we speak to Pyth or not?
Posted by Garion on 2011-12-24 11:06:17
Do you think it has something to do with CPOMB ;p
Posted by f_alk on 2011-12-24 11:24:28
happy holidays to you too!
Posted by sann0638 on 2011-12-24 11:26:56
agree, but could there be a connection between the lack of chat and the flaming lots of people get when they post in forums?
Posted by Ullakkomorko on 2011-12-24 12:27:26
I've actually started to enjoy games where the opponent doesn't say anything other than nothing or just hi, gl, hf. The trick is to chat yourself a lot. It's very liberating, knowing that the opponent cant't help but read what you write. It's also an awesome opportunity to comment on the dice a lot. Or if you have specs, chat to them.
Posted by MiBasse on 2011-12-24 13:22:03
I just pretend everyone who don't chat much are so much in awe of facing me, that they remain speechless with Holliday-glee!

@RedFish: Partly true. The more finkin they have to do the less chatting there is likely to be.
But seriously, many people don't chat much but the only people I remember who didn't even hi, grats, cya were people who messaged to say that they couldn't use in game chat.
So if there really is nothing wrong with Pythrr's client then he must be in the Twilight Zone or something to get 5/6 in a row.

@Ullakkomorko
Thats what i do but then i get accused of whining but all im doing is talking out loud, i get worse if the opponent dont even talk so it gives you nothing else to do.
Posted by blader4411 on 2011-12-24 17:34:54
Keith, you DO whine.

Oh the irony as a blog about no one talking has produced so many comments. :)
Happy Xmas one and all.

no chat from my opponent just makes it easier to stall and foul a lot.
