SPIKE Tournament 2014
So, here I am. In Surrey, of the west coast Canadian variety.
40 or so bloodbowlers of various ilks have gathered in a PINK PALACE near the US border, and tomorrow morning will give battle for the SPIKE!
keggiemckill, Purplegoo, and many others are here, and it will be FUNS.

Over the next two days, I - the Polish-monkey-botherer known as Pythrr - will blog about the madness.
The SPIKE is a 1100 TV plus 6 skills (doubles cost 2) tournament, with full resurrection rules.
I thought long and hard about what team to bring, but settled on a middle of the road safe Orc roster:
Ripper
3 BoBs (block x2, GD)
4 blitzers (tackle, MB, SH)
3 lineorcs
2 RRs.
So, let's see how that goes.

jeffro - I fed keggie some good scotch, and have spoiled him for the cheap stuff.
So, Day One recap (I'm a bit drubk, let's see what I can remember).
Game 1 (table 16): mah Orcs vs Chaos. An old friend from New Zealand (TK) flys all the way over (14 hour flight) for the SPIKE, and gtes drawn against me. We play out a 1-1 draw....
Game 2 (table 10): vs Underworld and their CLAW-Troll. Games goes well; we beat up rats and goblins, and win 2-0, but are outcased 2-4 by the fricking CLAW-troll, who chews up Orcs for lunch.
Game 3 (table 7): a tough tough loss vs bastard CDs, who luck me to death with the world's most silly TD in T16. Was funny as hell....
Game 4: (table 10): a hard fought win vs Craig's Undead. Could have gone either way even until the last 3 turns, when we stopped a ghoul 2 squares from scoring, then went the length of the pitch in 3 turns with Orcs running and handing off, etc.

Game 5 (table 5): a 2-0 win over some Norse! Woot!
Game 6 (table 3): a fun draw (1-1) with Paul Gegg! Much fun vs a really nice guy and a great player.\
Ended with a 3-2-1 (2 draws) record. Happy with that.
