Dear Fummbl coaches.

TRIGGER WARNING!!

Over the past few years I have been a terrible person.

I have created and run teams that have offended many in their theme and the way I play them.

First there was the Lammer Heretics (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=669436), a team that was initally inspired by the legendary Spiro, but which gained a reputation for preying on n00bs, anti-social tactics, and the semi-comprehensible rantings of the PoLiSH coach. Offensive to all Poles (and I've dated Polish women, who are lovely), and especially to Latvians (because of the potato wars), and - to be honest - various other nationalities and genders, the have left a swath of annoyed coaches across fumbbl over the years.

Other teams too have been recieved less than well.

Lizvis once convinced me to make a team called Pythrr and the Emo Crackers (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=636223), which I'm sure annoyed the hell out of some of you white folks and emos out there. ihateyouandwishyouwoulddie (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=696096), my rather rubbish attempt at a Nurgle team, is still an ongoing project, and drew some complaints too. Nigerian Lottery Winners (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=757172) was an attempt to make light of internet scammers, and this drew a couple of complaints from people who had fallen victim to the Nigerian mafia; a very sad set of tales indeed. I even took the piss out of Brazil's humilation at the soccer world cup, with David Luis - Magic Hair Circus (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=776609), a team that really got the hackles up in lovers of jogo bonito and ill-advised afro-hairstyles. The smell of enraged hairspray and afro-oil made for an aroma of danger.

More recently, my team ⚡⚡ Burn All The Babies ⚡⚡ (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=790259) has been accused of many things, not least of being a Nazi tribute team (no! I just like the lightening bolts!). For those who are not fans of Borderlands2 (and Tiny Tina), perhaps they did seem like baby-killing monsters (well, they ARE, but you know what I mean...).

And in recent weeks, my parody team Blow Up Your Plane (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=826866) has caused much alarm. Based on the film Team America (by the creators of SouthPark), this has created some contoversy: people have reported the team, refused to play against it, served it with legal injunctions, and sent poo through the mail. It has also opened up a debate about free speech and 'what is offensive' on an international website (altho basedin Sweden). I'm not an international lawyer (or even a non-international one), so I have no idea of the rights and wrongs of such debates. I just find them funny. If you don't find them funny, perhaps mentally replace all the team names with "CareBear1" and so on, and then we can just get on with the game.

So, I'm very sorry.

Actually, no I'm not. Get a sense of humour. And roll on 2016.
