HTML5 client progress update
Those of you who frequent the Discord channel will already have a pretty good idea of what's happened since my last blog (roughly 2.5 weeks ago). Basically, I've put in a lot more work into this project with a small amount of assistance from Stowelly. A few key highlights:

- A bunch of architectural work
- Core User Interface framework
- Animated dice rolls (d6, d8, db)
- Player status and ball tracking
- Sounds
- Foundations for spectator chat
- Player cards

In addition to this, I have occasionally pushed a version of this project to the live site for people to look at (see the current build here).

Is it done yet?

No. It's not. There is still a lot of work remaining, and I am still looking for (TypeScript) developers who are interested in helping out. This is a very large project and even though I have progressed quite a bit in just over two weeks, there is still an enormous amount of work remaining to be done.

That being said, I am personally finding it very very cool to spectate games using this client. Those of you who play a lot may have seen me hopping in and out of your games repeatedly at times (sorry for the spam :) ). I'm finding it very easy to get stuck looking at the game instead of actually working on the code. To me, that's a good sign it's moving in the right direction.

Pretty short update, but at least I get to share the progress with you guys. Feel free to give feedback on what you think is good and what's not so good with the current state of it. I'd be happy to go into much deeper detail on certain things or plans if there's interest.

I remember a time that I would remote it to my CPU at home through my phone to spectate games while away....

Needless to say, I am a fan of your work.

It’s looking really good man. Personal opinion, but I find the dice a bit intrusive, especially if someone plays quickly. Maybe a shorter animation? Or smaller and at the side?

It is looking really swell, but animations could be quicker.

WOW awesome

Have really been enjoying it. Mobile speccing is fantastic for those long boring meetings.

The animations are clear and while I'm used to the client's animations these are very viable. Pitch is fantastic, but I second the motion that the dice can be a bit distracting. I like that they are there, but a box or window in the corner may be better.

Can't wait to see the updates as they come. I'm sure all the other bells and whistles are on their way, ie: skills on player cards, reroll counter, weather, inducements, etc.

All of that is nitpicking, as far as I am concerned this is viable as is for speccing games. Though I do miss the chat :)

Keep up the good work!

It works on my phone. :o

I agree with the comments on dice, mainly for armour and injury rolls, but otherwise this is bloody brilliant. Really looking forward to seeing it completed, great job!!

Great stuff!!!

Uh, this looks fantastic.

I'd like it if the dice rolled and bounced across the pitch knocking over several pieces along the way, just like when I roll in TT. Realism FTW!

Very promising, keep it up !
