The pasting of a wodge of amazon player pics on another blog made me once agin rue the lack of appropriate apparel in the amazon pictures we see, so i dug out and re-phrased my orginal thoughts on the subject. Underwear seems to be the clothing of choice for almost all amzons i face. And rarely do they seem the sort of ferocious hellcats id expect to be facing on a sports field.

Now, I get the aesthetic appeal, really I do. But...

There are three reasons I would like someone, somewhere, to consider using a different idea, and none of them is that 'it's all a bit teenage' as that would be far too ironic from a man who uses his free time to play with elves and goblins.

1. It's very impractical. I know amazons are not famed for their armour (AV7) but people who play sports no where near as rough as BB rarely do it in their pants (Sumo Excepted). One of the common linking themes in Football, Gridiron, Rugby, Martial Arts, and many other sports is that they are played clothed.

2. Where are the realistic amazon players? Why no pictures of Lindsay Davenport? Venus Williams? Fatima Whitbread? I accept they are less physically attractive (Lindsay Davenport could never get me excited) but they could actually play BB (Lindsay Davenport COULD make me run away in fear).

3. My mate Alan worked for many years in the porn industry, as a writer. One of his jobs, for nearly a year, was as librarian for one of the main grot houses. His job was to sit in a room surrounded by Hundreds of thousands of pictures ladies in 'poses of display'. When a story or letter was being composed it was his job to find a picture to match. Letter is about an incident on a train? Alans job was to find 'Jazz images' of a lady in a guards uniform etc etc. Dream Job? Envy Alan? You shouldnt. The guy had a serious, and very attractive, girlfriend. She was eternally jelous and felt unable to live up to the images Alan saw every day. Also he found after a full day espying 'ladies secrets' he hadnt the heart to go home and tup his partner. She dumped him. Ever tried chatting someone up when if they ask what you do for a living, you tell them you look at naked women all day? It's not a big seller. And after months of staring at airbrushed perfection, real women didn't do much for Alan anyway.

So if for no other reason all our sex lives and sanity. Lets have some pictures of real howlers for amazon teams, you know it makes sense.
