Grandfathered teams are allowed to play in tourneys even if they are not CRP compliant.

There IS a limit on the number of ogres though, I think its 8 (definitely banned 11 since last season started)

Though the limit is due to come down further next year, I believe.

Also keep in mind that your team has to be "ready to play" once the deadline is hit. Forgetting to get it there is a bad way to miss a major...

@Smalls- You could prolly fill out a support ticket and see if an admin will un-ready the team for you so you can cut one. Having said that, it is up to the admin and you have yourself a pretty bad reputation. Always nice to have diverse teams in a tourney, I hope you fill out the ticket and it is unreadied for sake of sport, if not then bring your signature team. Ha.

It was just an extension to my answer to the "can I play games with a team that I applied to a tournament before it kicks off" question. It definitely has been a pitfall for some in the past, so it can't hurt to mention it.
