OWOBB #35 The BB BIG leagues.
This sunday, 9th July, 9pm BST One World , One Blood Bowl will check in with the BIG Leagues of Blood Bowl, and check what's happening on the league scene. How are the 2020 rules sitting, how does the future look? are numbers up or down? And What does League offer that casual play doesn't? Are they tough to run? How do you join? How do they help new joiners? Is there an age limit? Do i need a hat?
As always its a live twitch show on https://www.twitch.tv/purplechest and will be followed 24hrs later, or so, but the podcast and YouTube versions. So if you wish to 'consume the content' there are a variety of ways of doing so.

PurpleChest: Head of League on FUMBBL, a Division requiring little to no admin support, which is great as he's lazy.
ClayInfinity: Getting up super early to represent the Southern Waste League (SWL), the oldest and biggest league on FUMBBL.
FullMetal: Grand High PoohBah of the Reddit Eternal Blood Bowl League (REBBL) BB2's biggest league.
Leipziger: Boss of the Waterbowl (no funky acronym), one of the oldest and biggest table top leagues in the UK.
So, feel free to drop any questions here, and I'll try to ask them live on your behalf, or drop in live and join the chat, or catch up later. Other than coming round your house and shouting it through your letterbox, I couldn't be trying harder to get it out there. At this point, it's up to you.

I love any discussion of leagues. Obviously missing the Big league (NBFL which had 2500ish average tv), but it's got more custom rules than most leagues (it drafts players from another league) so that's understandable.

How do the big leagues find the TV meta has changed? Do they see mega star 'abuse' - defined as avoiding or retiring developed players in order to try to induce stars every game?
NBFL has seen TV slowly going down, after a few seasons, it's something like 10% lower, and megastars (aside from bomber) arent really winning so many games as to be a 'win rate problem', but we are seeing longtime defenders of 'high TV is better' starting to get really mad about facing megastars, because they are easier, and in some ways, more reliable, to obtain.
Ive personally actively chosen to play elves because the only megastar they can get is morg, and they naturally tend to higher TV, so getting morg is unusual - because when I look at many other rosters I found myself actively planning 'how can I get megastars every game' which goes against
