Each year the Tomb lords of the Khemri meet at a charred and blackened crack in the desert. There powerful magic is called upon from ancient Tomes and Lich Lords under vow to assist, and the dusty magical conflagration sends up a flaming beacon into the sky. Teams from all over the world see the sign and flock to the desert for the chance to compete for the Crown Of Sand.

The Draw will be 22:00 bbtime (or soon after) on 11th February 2015. There will then be weekly deadlines.

Applications are welcomed from B Division teams of any size. From any race, but the entry method is unique, so don't blame me if you don't read on and end up excluded while in other qualifiers places remain unfilled.

The Qualifier format
At the moment that applications are closed, the 8 most numerous races are each placed into their own qualifier. The other races are allocated into these groups first in reverse (race 8 gains race 9, race 7 gains race 10) and then from 17-24 in the original order(so 1, 16 and 17; 2, 15 and 18), and the draw is made.

Each Tournament must feature the highest 5 TV applicants from the lead race in that group, the 3 highest from the race numbered 9-16 and the two highest from races 17-24 and be filled to a maximum of 16 teams, with the remaining highest TV teams from all the races allocated to that group. where this is not possible, filler teams will be used.

What that Means
If you are one of the biggest 2 applicants (by TV) from any race, you WILL get into a qualifier. If you are from one of the most popular races, all the top 5 entrants by TV will get in.

Some qualifiers will be full (16 teams) and coaches from those races will miss out, While others may have filler spots.

Bigger teams by TV may miss out, and smaller ones from other races make it in. Different Qualifiers will have very differing TV levels to get a space.


TLDR?
Enter one single ready to play B team and beat everyone you are paired with.



Once you win a qualifier you should apply to the main Crown Of Sand group and the 8 team finals will commence. 8 different races will be represented. And of course you then have a chance at the glittering prizes. More details are on the main CoS group page, but basically you get a stat increasing crown, with a curse, and Sand Skeletons, which are the coolest and least official figure available on FUMBBL.

Someone asked me to have another go explaining the qualifiers:
The qualifiers are simple, but so hard to explain. I'll have another go...

We count the number of entries by race alone. The 8 most numerous races get allocated a qualifier each. The races that were ranked 9-16 are then reverse order added to each qualifier, and then the races 17-24 added (if all races are represented).

This means each qualifier has a maximum of 3 races allocated to it.

Each races has guaranteed places based on ow numerous they were. the top 8 get five places each, the second set of 8 get three places each and the final set of races, that came 17th-24th in application numbers, get 2 spaces each. Those spaces are taken by the highest TV entrants for each race, assuming they have the entrants to fill the palces set aside for their race.

This means each 16 team qualifier has a maximum of 10 places filled, less if some races are not able to fill their quota. the remaining places in each qualifier go to the highest TV entrants from any of the races allocated to that qualifier. This way each qualifier has only 3 races in it ever and we guarantee an 8 different race finals.
