Yeah, yeah, the Amateurs ran out of gas in round 1 (technically round 2, 'cuz we had a bye) and lost in overtime. No, it wasn't pretty, but that's sometimes what you get when you play all-former-Journeyman Humans. Sigh. Once again, if you're donating to FUMBBL based on the Amateurs' results, please give $5 (or £5, €5, or whatever you're doing).

However, I do have some good news to report. Despite a couple unfortunate early exits, we're winning. Coaches in the fundraiser are now 31-20, with 16 teams left to play their first match. Gratz especially to Rags, who got a bye round in the first, then won rounds 2-4 and is already waiting for his round 5 opponent. Good karma is good luck.

Definitely doing this again next year. Might bring a different team, though. We'll see. I kinda like the idea that the Amateurs host the fundraiser, but I'd like to have the aspiration of a deep run to look forward to, rather than the hope that I get a good draw and win a couple games. WDYT?
