Hehe not bad.

Meh. So many people say they'll kill a JM.
You need to make it in public. OK, so you had a spec or two, but that's not in public, not really.
A blog or forum post, or a comment in #fumbbl, some kind of official declaration in front of many eyes.
Everybody would have this badge if some in-game comment counted.

Killing a journeyman is meh... that's like being an upper echelon politician that says he's gonna strangle a street whore...
... dime a dozen.
;)

Well, he was the only JM around, so it was still specific.
I'll leave it up to hero if this event qualifies for the badge or not. :-)

I would say the comment should be pre-game.

That may very well be, though it was in his first time without me having played yet. Yes, there are a few things that need to be confirmed by hero, master of the badges. :-)

If we go by the screenshot there were 2 specs present, not sure if they were there at the time of the comment or not though. If they were there I would count that as public, although I think the spirit of the badge is more to do with tourney games or grudge matches with blog/irc announcements. All comes down to interpretation I suppose.
Grats anyway mate, keep those badhes coming :)

Thanks!
Well, hence the screenshot from IRC - luckily I had (at least) one of the specs in #humanleague as well. :-)

Lol :D Good blog, but...
I think it should be pre-match boasting on the forums or in the blogs. Otherwise people could just every time they gang foul someone claim "I CHOOSE YOU!" :)
Posted by Rabe on 2013-05-09 11:49:31
Well, it was not planned and it was before I even made a single move (as the screenshot should make clear). Still, I can't argue that a "boast" on IRC, a blog or on the forum would have been more stylish. :-)
It was my first attempt though as well, I'd find it pretty lame and annoying if someone would choose a player and announce it before every single match he plays. :-D Since I'd of course love it if this event counted... We'll see!

hmmmm a journeyman....
that: http://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=22784&highlight=curry
is the way it´s done good sir

If that counts (I don't see why it shouldn't), you of course beat me time-wise - and that's a kill much more worthy to remember. :-)
Still, getting the badge is far more important to me than being the first.

Nice on the first try.
And indeed Curry > JM
