Hidden Client Treasure
I saw Mumbojumboist talking about this in chat yesterday, and didn't know about it myself. Maybe few know? Sorry if I'm tugging your coat with info you already have.
Anyway, if you hold shift and right click in the new client, you can mark players or the pitch. Here is an example from my current game:
I've noted my Journeymen, my MA9 WD, my AG5 guy and the problematic Ogres. Just to make the point, I made a couple of pitch markings too.
No idea if you could do this in Ski's client, but I find it very useful indeed to have a visual quick guide rather than having to mouse over players all the time. No more need you miss that Guard guy if you mark him up!

I'd heard about this feature, but never how to use it. I'd tried a couple things to get it to work, given up, and forgotten about it.

This is good for me as I've become a lazy BB player and rarely check to see if that indeed is the Orc lino with Diving Tackle.

I liked when spectators could see the home team's annotations. Had fun adding some odd ones. :) It is indeed an awesome feature.

Goo, the WIL logo on the field needs to be inverted and then make the black transparent. It looks like crap like that. :P
