Soccer with UFC fighters would rock - It's only a foul if the kick doesn't break a bone, or rupture an organ.

This is cool. Biting someone isn't.

Football is the only sport where you get to constantly kick others. If you do it with the ball on your foot it ain't even a foul.
And if you ever played the sport, you know it fricking hurts.

Thanks Jimmy.
Calcio Storico is fun to watch.
It's awfully chaotic though.
I think they should field 11 instead of 27 each.
I expected more casualties too.

Yeah I agree that it is too chaotic, sweet pants though!

Let's join together and make a worldwide association for Calcio Fiorentino. Let's make a kickstarter project

"Soccer with UFC fighters would rock"
There is already way too much holding and grabbing is football (soccer) already.
In 'real' sports like rugby or American football you are not allowed to hold a man who doesn't have the ball.
I suspect that holding was the reason he bit the guy in the first place. Also the same reason that so many Frenchmen were throwing spinning elbows like Jon Jones.
I take your point. Jones would have knocked one out but then he would have been sent off. And the knocked out guy could be replaced.
Stupid rules. Either ban holding or let them bite & elbow. ;)
Did any Frenchmen (or others) get investigated for spinning elbows?

Holding isn't allowed. The professional players are actually quite careful not to grab in the direction of the referee, you just see it very well on camera.
That's also the most likely reason why a player goes to ground. From the trajectory of the movement of the body the ref is able to tell if he has been held or pushed. Furthermore if you keep standing the referee will much more likely decide to give you advantage and let you play. You can go the unspectactular route and just raise your hands but that isn't just less efficient it also looks a bit whiney. You weren't even knocked off your feed after all.
I suspect that holding was the reason he bit the guy in the first place.
If you mean Chiellini was holding Suarez then you've not seen the incident. Suarez and Chiellini were barging each other before a corner was taken and Suarez then bit him from behind. No holding, and each was taking part in the barging.

Your missing the point fellas. Biting should be a total acceptable practice within soccer. It's the only way the sport will become exciting. Moar failed Blood Lust! :)
