I'm completely dumb at this kind of things, so I can't help but feel some kind of magical respect for those who can.
Amazing job, your halfling team is awesome!

OH! I will be flocking them and tagging them. I am the odd man out so I will be using them if we get an odd number of coaches, Either way, someone is getting this team as a give away. :)

Awesome figs, great work!!

Each thing took me part of a day. I usually don't focuss on things more than a day. So all of the Halflings and Stars took me a night. The Treemen took me part of day. I did them while watching first round of FUMBBL cup. The Mino took me 3 hrs, and that's because I had to wait for things to dry. It honestly doesn't take long to make figs, if you have imagination and a goal. I'd make things like this at cost only because I find it fun.

How did you make the treemen?
Posted by PainState on 2014-12-06 15:20:21
I really like the extra fluff of the Xmas present tokens to track RR and stuff. Nice extra add on to the overall theme. Great job man.

For the Treemen I had a pretty clear plan when making them. I found a bunch of trees at Hobby shop, who were more focussed on Railway. They were quite over sized, but that was part of the plan. I then cut them down and used every piece I could. I used the bottom of the trees (trimmed down) for legs. I used a bunch of Tree tops, or Tree Tunks for Arms. Because they were so big I had to get creative on the bases. Deeproot is on a 40 mm base, but the rest are 30mm. Thats why one looks like he is about to stomp, and the other looks to have just thrown a guy. The Eye Brows and Moustaches are just pieces that fell off after cutting down the Trees.
On the West Coast we use 40mm Boards. Building large intricate players like this is the norm for us. I am still thinking of making downed markers. I hate laying big guys down.
@ painstate Thanks. I am hosting a Christmas tourney ( http://member.thenaf.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=6420 ) Keggies Yule Tide Tourney. Its geared to using towards Stunty, though other teams are welcome. Weather is always Blizzard, except that Stunty players are exempt from the elements. At the North Pole the little guys can walk on top of the snow, being so light, so do not get the negatives.
I thought it would be fun to have Christmas theme prizes. The wrapped dice and Bell Bribes. The Bribe is funny, because they are the only ones in the world that actually jingle with "real" money. :) Trying to stay thematic with the whole event.
