kind of miss that page too
where does ARR get their data from now?

AAR always got their info from Shraaaag's Fumbbl scripts. I'm sure that is where the active teams came from as well.

No per month sorting function though. Pretty sure ARR picked the 8 least played races post fix and just stuck with those 8 since.

ARR data actually comes from the Fumbbl API.
ARR data was always different from the page Keggie mentions as it counts games played not number of teams.

I also loved that box, and used a screenshot of it in my HE team bio for a while, back when it existed (showing how no one was playing HE).
When ARR started, we looked at koadah's excellent long term data on box matches: http://www.cmanu.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bb/stats/stats.html (then click "pre-scheduler fix" and sort by games played, then click "get data" hint: those bottom 8 races are really a step apart).
Now Zons are played FAR less and actually are one of the 8 least played races because the cheesy minmax zon teams are not played as frequently (A direct result of the box scheduler change). I'll put out some kudos to koadah for keeping all these great stats. I would *love* to get in on some of Shraaaaag's excellent scripts, but currently they don't work well with what we do in ARR (it's a metagroup so it doesn't run tournaments, and most of the cool stuff his scripts do can't work with our group as it's setup now). I have been meaning to PM him and ask about that...

Right. I said Shraaaag, but I meant Koadah. Sorry for that Koadah, I want to give you the props you deserve on this.
