looks like a normal vampire game to me

5+ 5+ plus the rest?

Eh... you had the dice most of the game, I just had great dice for 2 or 3 turns and capitalized on it.
It was pretty bloody unlikely to come back to win it from the situation I was in though for sure.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the game was very one sided until that point. It wasn't a case of complaining about the dice. It was a case of, "How the F did THAT go wrong!?"

so, turn 3:
Chainsaw (the team) causes 2 casualties, 1 stun, 1 knocked down player (vs a blodger), the troll successfully passes really stupid, and the orcs complete a pass (3+, 3+), and fail absolutely no actions, even the foul doesn't get spotted.
The vampires: Pass a bloodlust, fail a hypno (3+, already more failed rolls than Chainsaw), pass a bloodlust, pass a 2+ dodge, succeed on a hynp, fail a bloodlust (2 failed rolls!!) AND fail the re-roll (3 failed rolls!), stun an orc, pick up the ball and dodge only to be sent off to find a maiden.
How is turn 3 anything but a HUGE success for Chainsaw?
Looking at the rest of the half.. Turn 4:
the orcs continue to pummel the vampires without mercy, not failing any rolls.
The vampire pass a bloodlust, pass 2 2+ dodges, pass 2 gfi's, and succeed at knocking down the ball carrier with a 1 die block.. when the ball carrier has neither dodge, block, or wrestle. Another vampire passes bloodlust, passes a few 2+ dodges, and fail to hypno someone. A third vampire passes bloodlust, fails a 3+ dodge (but succeeds on the re-roll), picks up the ball (5+, sure it's hard, but 1/3 isn't THAT hard), and passes a few more dodges (4+, 2+) to get out.
The orcs fail to knock over a blodger with a 2 die block (cause, you know, that never happens, even with a team re-roll), and then fail to surround the vampire instead allowing 2 2+ dodges + 2 gfi's to get a touchdown (and a 2+ bloodlust), when he still has a team RR available.
I've seen FAR worse than this many times. Whine more. Heck I've pulled off far crazier plays myself - ever seen a skink -3d block an orc ball carrier (with SIX orcs in contact with the skink), get him down, catch the resulting perfect bounce, and then pass 5 dodges all next to tackle players, and 2 gfi's to end up out of blitz distance of ALL the orcs? (And no team RR available?).

Only you got it wrong Nelphine.
It was a 5+ dodge, a 5+ pickup, 4+ dodge, 2+ dodge. That was just to get the ball.
The sequence was:
Vamp1:
BL 2+ [3]
D 2+ [6]
D 2+ [4]
GI 2+ [3]
Blitz 1D - POW (50/50 hit, no block on the thrower)
Vamp2:
BL 2+ [3]
D 3+ [6] - tackle
D 2+ [4]
D 3+ [2, DR 3]
Gaze 3+ [1]
Vamp3:
BL 2+ [6]
D 5+ [2, RR 5] - tackle
PU 5+ [5]
D 4+ [4] - tackle
D 2+ [3] - tackle
Then he survives 4 dice with tackle blitz. Shit happens. :D
The next sequence was nothing special, it was the above. I can't be bothered to work out the odds but I bet it's not particularly likely!

@ Nelphine: If you are used to perform such amazing plays, I hope I will never meet you in a match, I might have a heart attack.
:-D

I like the skink story. I've see a goblin frenzy blitz its way through one of my teams. It survived 15 dice of my blocks, plus the -2Ds of its own, before scoring.

Working out the odds, a bit lazily, using the Samba Action Calculator*, you're looking about about a 2% chance (roughly, difficult to account for all vamps having dodge, doing the odds as if it was a single vamp comes to 1.5%) for that 1 turn alone.

@Nelphine, I had amazing dice T1-T10. :D
It was at that point, the bookie rings me, says, "Do you want to bet your house on this one?!" YES! I DO.
Lost. :'(
