Updates from the first day of the FC. I was unable to watch all of every game, some accounts are 2nd hand and some are guestimations from the snippets I saw.

The first match of the FUMBBL Cup XII is a cleared pitch as Wood Elves Feeling the Leaf suffer Nuffle's wrath against Orcs [R]Sinners INC, who advance. Leaf's legend war dancer had his knee smashed by a foul - the apothecary unable to rectify the injury.

Curiously this game was not just the 1st played, but also the 1st listed in the tournament bracket. Coincidence? Or fate...

In the Cup's second match we have our first shock as Humans Boys in the Hoods survive a brutal first half and a late 2nd half scare to equalize then win in overtime against the highly dangerous Chaos Suddenly you feel discouraged. The legend catcher Lille Alex proved the difference after being patched up from a serious injury (-AV) by an apothecary.

For our third game, Underworld side Backstabbing Assassins somehow came through against Humans Bored Mascots, managing to score the winner with just 4 players lining up for the kick off! One human blitzer claimed 7 casualties and the Assassins will be hurting going into the next game carrying 3 serious injuries on skaven players. It could have been worse as the troll regenerated from a fractured skull (-AV) and the apothecary saved the life of a rat.

Game 4 - Undead Westeros White Walkers against the lower TV Skaven Les egouts du Barthas, armed with a wizard, babe, and merc thrower. The most noteworthy action was the T6 rocks that seriously injured a mummy and a linerat. At half time, 2-0 and receiving, it is a straightfoward victory otherwise for the rats although they surprisingly get turned over for 1-2 before scoring a 3rd to seal victory.

One of the biggest games of the tournament for Game 5! An epic wood elf encounter between 2 legend wood elf coaches as Sithi D Team take on Hot 5tuff with just 10TV separating these famous giants at 2100TV. An early scare for Sithi D after a fumbled throw at 1-0 down is caught by a lineelf marking the Hot 5tuff tree, but the tree fails to grab the player back and Hot 5tuff can't secure the ball with Sithi D stealing it straight back. 2-2 at half time and who will blink first? It's Hot 5tuff at 4-3 down as rerolls are thin on the ground and a route is left to the ball. Sithi D Team mop up for a famous 5-3 victory.

Game 6 and one of the first inducement laden ties as Old Dirty Orcs tower over the relatively green Undead naked ghoul by 770TV. 2 cards, a bribe, a babe, and Ramtut makes his bow in this year's cup. No wizard though but spells are not required as the undead turn over their intimidating opponents in the 2nd half for 2-0 before an orc consolation at the end - the 2nd big upset of the FCXII.

Game 7 in comparison sports a paltry 500TV gap between Humans Nightmare Angels and a hefty Dark Elf team Comando Picaro. The Angels bring a wizard, a chef, and a babe to the party. However they can't prevent 1-0 and lose the ball on their 2nd half drive, the wizard only singeing eyebrows as the skill gap proves too big and Picaro progresses, 2-0.

Game 8 saw the Undead Gravelords facing off against a heavyweight Nurgle team in Carnivalé d'Chaos (2300TV). The Nurgle forget to pass in T8 and fail to score on their drive, with the final hit of the half taking out their only tackler. The Gravelords and legendary ST7 mummy Gorax march on to score and defend the equalizing attempt despite a fizzled lightening bolt.

Game 9 and Necromantic Manzazuu gain 460TV in inducements against Orcs Bilbali Raiders. Wilhelm Chaney, a wizard, and a babe are brought along, but the orcs are heavy favourites and march through 1-0. However a riot creates enough time for Manzazuu to equalize! The Raiders pressure an early score, unable to retrieve the ball after a ghoul fails a go for it but the wizard is used to give the ghoul space to score. Until this point the orcs weren't hitting hard, but now fully warmed up they take their Necro opponents apart and force the first overtime of the tournament. With the Raiders winning the toss and receiving, the Necros are powerless to prevent 3-2.

Game 10 - it's Human's vs Vampires as Sons of Brutus take on Phoerians with 300TV of inducements for the latter. Crazy Igor, Helmut Wolf, and a merc thrall take to the field, but Igor is soon dispatched and Helmut Wolf forced into a 1 turn cameo as the vampire team collapses. Woefully off form, they are turned over in the 2nd half for a comfortable human victory.

It's another shock as powerhouse Chaos Herlev Hitmen are taken down by Undead Viimeinen Linja who do all the early damage and probably should have won it in normal time - the Hitmen stealing the ball with just a few warriors left on the field. Despite the chaos winning the overtime toss, the Undead rampage is unabating and they crush the Hitmen against the side to turnover and score deep into overtime.

A dramatic encounter as famous box Pact New Order of Chaos met less well known box High Elves Bluuudy Braggers (substituting for the Crossdressers!). It's Pact, you'd expect chaos and carnage. What you wouldn't expect is the Pact team are the ones on the receiving end! In the space of two 2nd half turns, first the freak super star goblin is ripped to pieces - the apothecary unable to piece it back together - then the legend hitter gets maimed (-MA). The fans are pleased, at least! It goes to overtime but the Braggers have all the momentum despite losing coin toss. A blitzed kick off seals it.

Last game covered for day 1, as the well known Dark Elves Atei face vermin SkavenBlight Stingers, who survive 2 blitz kick off results to win. The dark elves sport a pomber and an ag5 leaping strip baller. When the latter is seriously injured (MNG) at 1-0, the apothecary can only alternatively kill the player! At 1-1 in the 2nd half, a fight is on for the ball. Slowly the rats take command, but 1 last blitz from the witch... she faceplants the dodge and splatters herself dead on the field. Epic! The rats stall out for 1-2 but the elves have left their mark - 4 rats to miss the next game including 2 maimed gutter runners (both -MA).
