I say fend to minimize POers attacking him :D

dodge???? fend???? shadowing????

Ah now I get it.
Fend stops the blocking player from moving forward after the block. Hence PO can't then be used after the block.
Strip ball is a favorite of mine on Frenzy players.

Since he is AV 7 - i would be concerned with him being too much of a target - losing too much TV easily hurts.
So - I would look a bit at the defensive skills:
Sidestep, Fend, Dodge.
Of them - Dodge would be where I would go...easier to keep your big weapon safe from blitzs and thus on the field more often.

Oooh thats a freaky wolf, dodge would probably be a good choice, or pro for the extra choices on other rolls.
Posted by the_Sage on 2013-02-09 11:22:49
dodge.

Dodge sucks. Any half dangerous player will likely have tackle too. If he's a target, he's a target.
He spends half the match on the floor, since he's piling on, further reducing the usefulness of dodge.
The way I play, the main use of dodge would be to reroll the dodge roll on a failed hit. I very rarely leave the wolf in a block/blitz-able position (and consider it a strategical failure to do so).
Pro let's me reroll that failed dodge half the time (and I do consume rerolls on such trivial stuff), regardless of tackle, let's me have a go at rerolling the jump up, or those 2nd set of pushes. At the moment I chew through rerolls on such things.

Since you know what you want to pick (Pro), this blog is just so you can brag right? ;)
Posted by Chainsaw on 2013-02-09 22:06:03
Well I knew I didn't want dodge; was open to suggestions.
(Shadowing sounded interesting, for example.)
Saying that, yes, bragging is a big part of it.

I think you should do something unexpected...give him kick.
