Touch down - pretty nice.
Beating a rookie with all mens los - not so impressive.

It's turn 8 so you don't need to worry about defense.
Ok, best bet is to blitz Red 5 across, 6 down, with the fallen player (2, 3). Hopefully you can move him out of the way.
Now stand the player next to the ball.
Either move him on the ball and dump off to the free player. then have free player kick to the (now hopefully open) 4,6.
or (and probably better) have the other player pick the ball up. Dodge out. Then pass to the open player.

@OH: He was the only guy on the finder and it was fun.

@delusional: the free player is 1 square short

Guy down at the top picks up the ball and hands off to the marauder nearest him.
Marauder on the los nearest the top blocks lino onto guy with ball with a push.
cover 2 squares below the 2 together players you created.
Downed Marauder just in own half then blitzes lino chainpushing the marauder into scoring range.
Now go to see if you did it any differently.

No problem :P
Posted by harvestmouse on 2013-03-16 02:22:11
I think my way would have been easier.
Posted by Chainsaw on 2013-03-16 02:27:48
@HM: your way was. I wasn't really focusing though and only saw that after I did the push (which I did before anything else).
Posted by PurpleChest on 2013-03-16 02:47:25
the complex way leaves the blitzer on the sidelines with a 1 die blitz, dodge out and 2 gfi to score, the easier, i think, way leaves him a 4+3+ dodge and 2 gfi to score while standing next to the 2 humans nearest the td line.
Now ill go see which you did.
Posted by PurpleChest on 2013-03-16 02:50:58
wow.
I started with the pick up and hand off as default, just depending if i handed straight off or dodged out for a chain assist.
but... wow.
nice score.

"The improbable is not impossible" No, but you're still a lucker! ;P

I was the opponent. I don't know how he did it but it was an amazing sight to watch. Thanks for the fun game chainsaw!!

Actually I think a lot of coaches would have done it the chainsaw way, maybe I would have also.
The chainsaw way does easier stuff first. I think the average veteran coach here has mental scars. So if you did a complex turn like that, and failed right at the end on a gfi or some such, after doing all the hard stuff. That'd add to the mental trauma, we've all experienced and mean another weekend of double chocolate and fudge ice cream, a Smokey Robinson album and various Colin Firth movies due to FUMBBL breaking our heart once again.
So I can see why you did it, how you did it.
Posted by huff on 2013-03-16 11:05:22
how do you take a screenshot like that?
Posted by Wreckage on 2013-03-16 11:29:18
90% of the time you want to do the easy stuff not because you are afraid to fail the GFI in the end but because you get at least through half your turn that way. Just in the last turn of a drive it doesn't really matter. + The 6+ Pass was really cheesy on the odds.

Somewhere on your top right you'll have a print screen button.
How to implement that differs. It could be control, alt + print screen or the fn button and print screen or.....

Also: I would have completely missed the scoring chance if you hadn't brought up that there was one, Chainsaw.

on all my keyboards it's just print.. no other button.
Then copy paste in a paint program.

Well you played that badly...

@huff: I used pickpick

@HM: you're right.
Thinking back, I saw it and thought, "No chance. But let's try."
So I started with the *easiest* move first, the push. I mean, no rerolls, if I hit skull/pow or something, it was over. I just took it 1 step at a time seeing if I got to the next step.
So I didn't even position the assist correctly, instead meaning I had to make additional dodges for the final chain set up.
I just did it in the instinctive sequence: 1) get the guy to the endzone 2) get him the ball. It was totally silly.

Nice score! What was the amazing tactic? Loading LOS?
Posted by JimmyFantastic on 2013-03-16 18:05:17
Well done. I can't make a 2db without a reroll.

Thanks you. Well played btw.
