No comment on any of the games as I haven't played them (other than The Pit), but why do they insist on calling all of these FPS crap fests roguelikes?
Is it because they are procedurally generated? FPS is FPS, roguelike is a game which is actually like Rogue, which, clearly, if you're old enough, or retro enough, wasn't remotely anything like a crappy FPS.
;)
But charity is usually a good reason to spend money :)

I agree with you licker. If you look for roguelikes on Steam, very few actual roguelikes come up. It seems to be that mainstream is interpreting roguelike to mean permadeath.

I'll try it out.
What are the original rouge games, or is it 1 original game?

This is a seriously good deal. If I didn't already own all but one of these games I'd buy it.

To a purist (which I am not really) a true roguelike also would feature ASCII graphics.
Of course these days that's a bit silly, but back in the day when you needed to fit your game a floppy...
Permadeath is probably why, but that feels like such a shallow description of roguelikes to me. It's also not totally unique, as there have been various RPGs as well as 'Ironman' modes in all kinds of games.

it seems to marketeers roguelike = hard.
