I like the apo suggestion.
Should of course go with blockable on-pitch refs, where refs, apo and injured (KOd) can still be fouled. =)

Nuclear winter should be in the next rules :)

what about another 2 dice 6 if 12 rolled on kick off:
if another 12:
Kick-off result: Kill all menz. All players and apo are dead. Do not roll for regen.

And just assume it happens before every game. So every time a game is played, then 22 players killed virtually. Then play the game on a why not basis... :p

Horrible... just horrible, bad, bad, ideas. The apoth one is funny though and yet... horrible and bad.
Did I say I think the ideas are bad? Well they are! :D

The apothecary player option reminds me of the early edition referee models... I rather like that.
For those who don't remember, there was a ref model that moved randomly... and fouls had to have a line-of-sight to the ref or they wouldn't be seen. Added a great element of positioning.
So I like the apothecary player idea as long as he doesn't count towards your men on the pitch.

I preferred the ref which had a chainsaw, and used always when a foul was comitted.

funny but shit ;-) maybe good for stunty !

Yeah it wasn't supposed to be taken seriously ;) although the pile on intro was to troll you into thinking that.

i actually like the idea of a 1d to fail a pile on. the guy just missed and landed on his own head!!

I like most of the ideas. The Apoth this was similar to the 2nd ed Refs. It takes too long to use. The game needs to be quicker.
I love the Piling on idea, and the Pitch invasion. Maybe you can have the book ends effected with the random 6 die. So when rolling, per player for a 6 to injure the player, if there is a 1 rolled they get the Battle fever (piling on, and frenzy)
I also like the Throw Rocks. I thinks its a bit overwhelming if more than 1 player gets hit/injured though. If its both sides, then I can tolerate it. But it does make for a messy game.
Good stuff.

Lets go all in then........
Player is RIP from a chainsaw the victims head is decapitated and laying on the pitch. The first team to pick up the head and move it into their endzone gets a huge moral victory and a extra reroll. You can use the head just like a normal football except you cannot score a TD with it.

I only like the piling on rule.. the rest (in my opinion) are EXTREMELY cheesy. (just read the comments after writing the previous statement...) No wonder why the piling on rule sounded most credible and the rest SUCKED lol

Anyone remeber that old PC game that was a bit like Blood Bowl where you could pick up a sword on the pitch and decapitate other players and score with the heads?
