I hatez losing. I'm sure most of us do.
Some losses are worse than others. Some are in random games with rookie teams, nobody really cares. Some are massive dice thrashings that see a team disappear into the past as players are maimed and killed. They're kinda fun although a little heartbreaking and in-the-moment rage inducing. (Of course, when we're on the right side of the dice, these are the best games ever.) Some you dice your opponent to pieces but contrive to throw the game away, or see some incredible play where
3 vamps with no thralls take your orcs to school.
The ones I hate the most are the competitive games that you only just lose. Not least because you want to win more than normal, but because you know you end up making mistakes - usually because something isn't going your way or you were just being reckless - which come back to bite you. Especially if you had bad dice, but are still in the game, and just throw it away by being unfocused due to the prior dice.
Those games you don't forget quickly, and they linger in the mind, nipping at your psyche until you learn to accept that it is a lesson you must learn.
Then wash rinse repeat, don't learn the lesson and endure the frustration all over again.
JimmyFantastic mentioned something about zen in chat. I've no idea what that is, it seems.
