The vampires are over enthusiastic and get it all wrong, failing to chain push, rerolling a gaze, and requiring just too many moves to get the ball. 2 consecutive blood lust fails and a failed go for it later, one of the best vampires is in the stands feeding and Bloody Stumble recover for 1-1. The wizard is used to ensure overtime, and with no rerolls and losing the toss the Princesses are stranded. Bloody Stumble advance 2-1 but Nekran will be kicking himself there.

Next a match involving one of the early tournament favourites as Tiny Steel Hammers meet Undead Happy-Creatures-of-the-DARK and 560TV of inducement money. The gulf between the two teams and coaches looks nigh insurmountable and so it proves as TSH steamroll their undead opponents in a very one sided 1-0 battering (chose not to score 2nd half to avoid LOS hits). It's a battle of the freaks as blitzer Igor Paklin 2 clashes with wolf Pitbull III, players to make any coach jealous. It's first blood to the wolf as he kills a lineman and soon 2 more frogs are corpses and a hammer blow as the Slann strip ballers are both casualties. Both teams score on their drives but the damage is one way and, when the Puppies win the toss for overtime and have 4 rerolls to none, the miracle needed for the outnumbered Slann to win does not occur - the freak blitzer is injured by a foul to cap the 2-1 victory.

Morg and Zug make their inaugural FCXII appearances in a blackbox clash featuring prominent box Nurgle Virulente Affection against lowly Humans Kelldorf Loewenzahl - 890TV splits the teams! Morg's main contribution is a double skull, before a bemusing fireball, then Zug is hurt on a surf and Morg clawed out the following turn to eliminate the inducements and end the game as a contest.

It's the decider for TSH's next opponent, Vampires Nuffle Can Suck It earn the honour by beating Chaos Dwarves Nookumkin Allstars. Another 1st half post-turn out-of-position wizard and no attempt to equalize 1st half made life easier on the bloodless than it otherwise might have been, especially given how their rerolls ran out quickly in the 2nd half where the wizard may have been far more threatening.

It's potential for fun as Lizardmen Crock Blockers give up 1020TV in inducements to Goblins Gitz N Shigglez. A big shock is nearly on the cards as the chainsaw knocks out the pomber and a bomb blasts down 3 sauri including the one with the ball. A terrible double scatter on a perhaps greedy pick up sends the ball back towards the lizard position and they take control of the game from there. There is early 2nd half drama as the Crock's legend skink is seriously injured but it doesn't affect the 2-0 outcome.

A brutal encounter between Cheyene's orcs dont get killed and Rat n Doll. Cheyene's orcs did get killed, but so did an MA10 gutter runner much to the delight of the fans! Both teams survive intense drives to score and it goes to overtime. The orcs win the toss and the goblin takes advantage of an opening to win the tie.

Another match another upset as well known ranked Nurgle Schlumpen schlump to defeat against Necromantic side Fiat Casius, 560TV below their putrid opponents. A spectacular fireball turned the tide in the first half with 2 casualties including a clawpomb pestigor which failed to regenerate and a clawed warrior that made it back. Still the necros don't break and survive several comebacks to hold off for 1-0 at half time, eventually winning 3-0 as they dominate the hit dice.
