So I slept too little last night, got to work, parked in our dedicated work car park, forgot to take my phone out the car, and an hour later the window is smashed and my phone gone. That's £600 down the toilet.

It's a sad state of affairs in the UK at the moment. Police are too few and too far spread out, and are too focused on stuff that really makes it easy for this kind of low level crime to go uninvestigated and unsolved.

The kind of people that do this... I pity them. Not just the theives but the enablers who launder their goods too. Either they are so desperate, which I doubt as desperate people tend to be stealing food and not phones, or are just scummy <impolite murmurings> who do nothing but make society worse. I bet the thief got a right buzz off of the act and is gleefully happy at having done it, no thought whatsoever to the damage done to the victim.

I'm not a victim type person. I took up Muay Thai years ago to ensure I wouldn't be, I'm doing a white collar boxing match in a few weeks, and if I saw this going down I would have chased the perpetrator until they could run no more and beat a life lesson into them (which ironically could have had me face more jail time than they ever would, so perhaps it is a blessing this occurred unseen).

I'm just super pissed off! Also a bit poorer. Also got a car with glass all over the inside and having to deal with Autoglass since that is who my insurer goes through - and Autoglass suck! No appointments until the 5th of March!?! Oh, somebody will call me back in 2 hours of 12:30? Apparently not. Somebody will call me back by 5pm? Nope. Hopefully in the morning then? We'll see.

It's my son's 7th birthday today. I'm not going to let the idiots affect that. Not that the bottom feeders would care.
