If our o line is as sloppy as they were against Washington, its going to be a long and stressful game. I might make some brisket to celebrate, got a good recipe?

For the sake of all my fantasy football teams (Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant) I hope this is the case. How 'bout dem Cowboys!

1/2 cup of garlic salt
1/2 cup of Brown sugar
2TB mustard powder
2TB paprika
2TB Black pepper
Mix in a bowl. Rub the entire brisket, do not trim off the excess fat.
Place in frig overnight to let that rub take hold. Leave the extra rub that is not used on the side for when you are cooking.
Get your smoker up to 250. Cook the brisket for 4 hours with no foil. Get a spritzer with apple cider and generously sprits the brisket every hour.
At hour 3 flip the brisket fat side down, keep hitting it with the apple cider.
After 4 hours put more rub on. Generously sprits the apple cider on and then wrap in foil.
Let the Brisket go another 4-5 hours. You want to hit the internal temp of 190 on the "butt" of the brisket.
Pull that bad boy off after 8-9 hours, let rest for an hour with out the foil. Then cut into it and enjoy.
It might be your only enjoyment during the game so savor it while the Cowboys dismantle the Hawks and shock the NFL world.

That recipe is for a Texas sized brisket of 15-18 lbs. Now if buy one of those Seattle butt end only briskets of 4-5 pounds the recipe is the same but you need to cut down the cook time in half to about 4-5 hours.
I would go 2 hours no foil and then the last 2-3 in foil but everything else is the same.

Whoever has rated this as snything but a 6 is a big boob!
1) The Cowboys are America's team therefor a six is required
2) There is nothing better than Texas Brisket and PainState has given a fine recipe
3) You euros who have rated this anything but a six can go eat your fish and chips, I'll stick to beef
Go Cowboys!

While beef is clearly awesome, don't knock fish and chips. They too are awesome, and never as good as at the British sea side :)

1) Brits might be euros, but its no the other way around: there are other countries believe it or not! *gasp*
2) Cowboys might be America's team, but the sport per se is a perversion of Football. Wanna grab the ball with your hands? Play rugby!
3) The Brisket does sound tasty and a light meal :P

If the Cowboys are America's team, what are the Hawks?

Hawks are now America's team.
And by that I mean loud, garishly dressed, and loaded with Adderall.
