My boys are now 10 and we have been playing off and on with my 2ed. board and minis for a year or so. They have picked up on the most vital aspect of Blood Bowl that you do not win in less you lay a thick boot to down players.

So, when I showed them the box set they got very excited. We will pick up the box set and DZ next week end. They have both decided who will take the human team and the Orc team. We will get some paint and brushes and the "deal" is we do not play with the new edition until they finish painting their new minis. A stick and carrot approach should work fine in this situation.

One important rules discussion was universally agreed upon though. We will retire the new block dice and still use our FUMBBL dice set instead. Now, that is out of the way we can discuss what other optional rules we will play with in our house.
