The Underworld team is finished, and 2 weeks before the tournament too.

Below are pics of the finished team members, the Warpstone Troll is my favourite and I am very happy with how his mutated arm turned out. The team as a whole was a joy to paint as the 2nd edition skaven models are probably the best fantasy football models made, not bad seeing as how they are 20 odd years old.
















I had decided to do a display base for the team as I think it really adds something as well as tying the models together. I didn't want to be too ambitious 1st time round so went for a simple clean pitch to match the team colours. I did decide to paint the crest of St Albans on the pitch, originally i tried painting over flock but it kept coming loose so instead bought a grass mat. Then I painted the design on it and cut round bases so I could glue this straight on the bases. The base is just a simple picture frame with foam board swapped for the glass.



If you want to get your hands on the team then it will be given to the winner of the STABB Cup, held in St Albans on the 1st and 2nd of October.

I have done a bit more work on the Amazons too, just not much to show for it as the catchers and blitzers are still in bits. I have put together the 2 throwers though and almost finished building the 4 linemen so they will be ready to start painting soon. With the Underwolrd out of the way I should make a lot more rapid progress with the zons now, but should really start work on my own team for next year's NAF championship.
