After many months I have finally completed the Chaos Pact team that was 1st prize for winning the White Isle Star Bowl last year.
I'm pretty happy with how the muscles in his back and legs turned out, but I'm still finding it difficult to do any smooth sculpting with tools.
Here is a full team shot, I think they meld together pretty well considering there are 7 different races in the team.
So they just need a coat of varnish (or 2 for the big guys and renegades and they are done.
I'm also making progress on the Chaos Dwarfs with the Blockers already to paint and the bulls getting close too.
This is the test model for the colour scheme, at the moment it is just getting the balance between the colours right and is
very dark. The red will be a lot lighter but as it goes orange or pink very quickly I always start dark and highlight up.
These are the other 5 Blockers ready to be done, I was really struggling to find some good hands for them until I realised I had ideal ones in the shape of the models I'm using for the hobgoblins. I'm thinking the guy pointing could be the team captain and may suit having a white beard.
The Bull centaurs are done as well now, bar a small amount of gap filling. I tried to give them different roles so one is more of a blitzer with clenched fists and the other a runner with open hands ready to receive the ball.
As you get 10 chaos dwarf models from forgeworld in the pack the 2 spares will have claws. Originally I was going to give them mutant claws but whilst looking for hands I came across some from the gutter runners so will be using them as I feel they are more appropriate for the more technically minded chaos dwarfs.
As for the lizardmen I have cleaned up 4 skinks, 3 saurus and the krox so will paint up a skink or saurus as a test model. No conversions for them so no pics yet I'm afraid.
