Since the NAF Championship got postponed I had a lot more time to work on the team. This allowed me to add both a cheerleader and get the total number of stars up to six.

In the meantime GW released a new Spike with mixed teams, one of which was Old World Alliance. This meant all I needed to add to complete this team was some Halflings and Dwarfs.



The linemen, Ogre and Cheerleader were just the same as the normal human team, they don't need any alterations.


I picked my fave blitzer, thrower and catcher to use as the Old World Alliance versions.



The leaked 2020 rosters allow Halflings to be taken on human teams, which makes them doubly useful. They were given the same numbering as catchers with the reasoning being that few coaches would max out catchers and flings.
I switched up their colour scheme slightly as they wear so little armour. They got white shirts to make them brighter and softer than the rest of the team. I was really happy with how the highlights of the scarf on the ferret turned out.



I always like trying to incorporate the classic 2nd edition colour options for positionals. That was why the blitzer was given a reddish brown beard and the runner a white one. Though I did choose brown over grey for the longbeards since they are effectively the linemen of the team.
The slayer was of course given classic orange hair and I got the shade just right. I used to run a slayer army in WHFB and have got a lot of practice painting over 150 slayer hair/beards.
Their numbering was less of an issue as I just gave them the same as the human positionals that couldn't be taken in Old World Alliance teams.

Whilst here are all 31 models for 2 teams and including 6 stars. I could have added Morg and Bob Bifford as I have them ready to paint, but the team is already the biggest I have done by a long shot. Plus the techniques I used for the armour were pretty time consuming (though worth it as I really like how they look).
I doubt I'd be able to manage to match that every year, plus only a few teams have such a neat crossover of stars and players.
