I have made quite a bit of progress with the Khemri team I am painting up for the winner of the NAF championship in May.
I have finished 5 normal Skeletons and hope to complete the Thro-ras and Blitz-ras this weekend. This would give a team of 13 when combined with the 4 Tomb Guardians which is the minimum I want to do, but I am hoping to paint up 3 more skeletons for the full squad of 16 and possibly Ramtut, Setekh , a display base and some markers.
The 4 tomb guardians are mostly built but I still need to give their knees and ankles a less mechanical look. They are automatons, but I don't want them to look too like robots from using the Necron bits. In the middle you can see the work in progress Ramtut, I feel his arms look a bit short compared to the other guardian, though theirs are a little on the long side. So I may chop them off at the wrists and use similar arms to the other guardians.
As stated in may last blog I finally managed to get the Amazons done and posted them to Kalimar last week. The Royal Mail informs me they were delivered yesterday so I hope they got there safely.
Kalimar asked me to take photos of the whole team and individual pics of each player. This led to an important photographic discovery for me after 5 years of blogging and I managed to work out how to use the camera functions and a light box to take half decent pics.
The Amazons took up little space on the USB stick I posted to Kalimar and so I bunged on some photos of my other teams and it is a real shame that the pics of some of them were not so good. In particular the Lizardmen, High Elves and Nurgle teams didn't come out quite right which is a shame as I was very happy with the paint job on the Saurus, Krox, Prince Moranian and especially Grashnak Blackhoof.
Anyway here are a couple of the newer pics I took.
